Pritiraj & Partners ("the firm", "we") is a governance and political strategy advisory practice based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you may ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Information you give us. If you write to us about a mandate, a speaking request, or The Pritiraj Review, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, your email address, your organisation, and the substance of your enquiry. We do not operate a subscription form, a login, or a payment facility on this website.
Information collected automatically. Like any hosted website, this site records standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and pages visited. This is used in aggregate to understand which essays are read and whether the site works properly. We do not build advertising profiles and we run no advertising trackers.
What we do not collect. We do not collect sensitive personal data through this website — no financial information, no government identifiers, no health or biometric data. Please do not send such material by email either; if a mandate requires it, we will agree a secure channel with you first.
We use what you send us to answer you, to assess whether a mandate is one we can properly take, and to maintain our own records of professional correspondence. We use aggregate site data to improve the site and to understand which questions our readers care about. We do not use your information to train models, and we do not use it for any purpose you would not reasonably expect from the enquiry you sent.
We do not sell personal data. We do not rent, trade or share mailing lists. We do not disclose the identity of a prospective client, or the fact that an approach was made, to anyone outside the firm.
That last point deserves emphasis, because of the work we do. An approach to this firm is confidential from the moment it is made, whether or not it becomes an engagement. The firm's Ethics Charter governs how we handle conflicts, and it applies to enquiries as much as to signed mandates.
Your data may be processed by the service providers that make this site and our correspondence work — our website host and our email provider. They act on our instructions and are permitted to use the data only to provide those services. We may disclose information where we are required to by Indian law, by a court, or by a regulator with jurisdiction over us; we would seek to notify you first unless prohibited from doing so.
Correspondence relating to an enquiry that does not become a mandate is retained for up to two years, so that we can identify conflicts and recognise repeat approaches. Records relating to an engagement are retained for the period required by our professional and statutory obligations. Aggregate site analytics are retained in non-identifying form.
